New launcher not allowing logout in steam and VR

Checking to see if anyone else is having issues with this.

Starting the game in steam VR mode only allows the main steam linked account to log in. Using the log out option doesn't work, instead it automatically starts the game with the main steam account.

I found a workaround where starting the launcher in regular mode allows me to log in my frontier account, and then I can go back and start it again from steam in VR mode.

Unfortunately, in VR mode, clicking the log out option causes the launcher to auto-log in the steam account and start the game immediately.

Are you launching the game via the VR UI in steam, or regularly? Which version are you playing (Legacy/Oddity)? Which windows version?

Sigh, bein lazy in my bug reporting aren't I.

Regular Steam UI, Version didn't appear to matter, win 11.

So you're having trouble swapping between multiple accounts via Steam? Is this only related to VR? Can you account swap in pancake mode?

Correct. Launching in VR mode via the normal steam UI appears to auto log in the steam account in the launcher and then starts the game immediately. (The regular behavior.) Exiting the game allows the player to get back to the launcher as normal.

However, selecting the logout option appears to immediately start the game with the steam account instead of logging out. The result being, the player cannot logout in the launcher. It seems to be a glitch with the logout option in the launcher while running it in VR mode.

Switching to regular pancake mode allows the logout functionality to work normally.

I gave it a try on the epic launcher and logging the frontier account, and the behavior was far, far stranger. Not even going to bother trying to describe that one. Switching to pancake mode by running /novr in epic launcher settings worked to fix the logout issue as well.

I have not tried running the launcher directly without steam. It may be fine without it, but trying to /autorun may have the same issues and require running the launcher in non-vr to switch accounts.
