Not got a gaming machine yet - but this could be a contender...

Be interested to see what others think of Macs as gaming machines...

They always look nice. But it seems they have more issues trying to play PC games. Unless they have it run in virtual mode.

Mac OSX is awesome. I love the way so much of the experience you have of a mac is so seamless and beautifully integrated. Apple have generally made tech a joy to use.

The problem is that if you are gaming on a mac you are getting the shaft on equipment and software drivers (i.e Open GL) that means you are not going to be having the same experience as a windows user who is using directX and paid far less than you did.

You could spend £500 on a PC gaming rig and it would destroy a mac mini or iMac. Sad but true.

me too.. and without constant interruption from 'Bill' to update the operating system, virus firewall, etc etc :D

yes Macs are expensive but hey I've got a life to be getting on with without waiting for all the above to happen.

I just turn the machine on and it works - really well actually
