New Matrix sites, Alliance Chieftain, suggested AX build

Out here at Jamison (in solo, don't know if the "thargoid ships" are still here yet) and purchased a nice, off-the-rack Chieftain.

Noted that guardian stuff now "melts" in certain locations so I'm going to just avoid that altogether. Any suggestions for cold builds on this ship? I did try google but a number of the search results are great, but from early 2022, I guess before the "guardian melting" stuff started.

Also, slightly off-topic, should we have at least one sticky thread with links to builds for each ship?

One exception to this are the Guardian Hull Reinforcements, which have no "integrity" value, so they can't actually be damaged. They do draw a good bit of power, which will increase your thermal profile.

Are you planning on using the ship for anything other than the new Matrix sites?

When I visited several Matrix sites near M.Taranis, I used this Vulture, heat wasn't a consideration to me. I focused on being able to take down Glaives, as those are the most annoying factor trying to visit these sites, some quite far from the main star, meaning possibly many interdictions.

If I was outfitting a Chieftain for Matrix sites, it would probably be something like this. It's similar to the build of my Crusader, which I've used for Planetary AXCZs, Glaive/Scythe Hunting, and Titan Sampling (with minor outfitting changes for each activity, I only carry an SRV when necessary, etc). Any interceptor tougher than a Cyclops though you'll be better running than fighting. With the appearance of Glaives in the warzone, it's hard to recommend anything other than AXMCs, since the Anti-Guardian Field can take out guardian weapons in less than a minute, and Interceptors are much easier to outrun.

I'm going to have to obtain the Guardian hull reinforcements (currently at Jameson Memorial and they're not at this location so I installed regular until I get them). Considering the idea was to "run cool" I may forego those for standard anyway (I have the engineer blueprint for the reinforcement and have them up to G5 already).

Hadn't planned on anything other than the Matrix sites.

Of course that new issue in WREGOE BU-Y B2-0 just came up today...

I would also highly recommend a vulture for any of the Revenant-related locations.
It's a small ship so easy to land anywhere, can easily outrun interceptors and scouts, can pack enough shields to take revenant laser fire without worrying and has the pair of large hardpoints for AX multis if you want to take on glaives rather than running from them.
