New meta contender suggestion: Alliance Marauder

Why do you think the Thargoids are Alliance?
Eh. I'd much rather have the Alliance get a proper large warship (not the stop-gap Type 10) than another Alliance medium ship. Something that resembles the Chieftain family, but bigger with capabilities somewhere between the Anaconda and Corvette.
Also, it MUST be named after a British tank. I'm thinking Centurion.

I'd prefer the Alliance Matilda, but each to their own.
Have you flown a Chieftain and/or Challenger?
The Chieftain is already pretty manoeuvrable and very close to a meta PvP front runner.
In the right hands, it can be very competitive.

The Alliance just got two great ships and one absolute dog crap one a year ago. Enough love for the alliance. Although I don't begrudge them a battleship. It should run on hot air and only work in PG and Solo. 
As for the premise of the suggestion though...have you really thought this through..?
