Ships New mining ship

I bought the:
Type 6 Jumpstart Mining ship
The Krait Mk2 Upgraded Laser mining Jumpstart
and the
Python Core mining Jumpstart

All were bought with real money, and in good faith.

Now, they're introducing a Type 11 mining ship, which will render all the others obsolete. Can F-Dev consider allowing people to trade in outdated craft?

Well .. no.
And why did you used real money to buy three mining ships? Why did you not just buy one and then used that to build up credits and then use them to build your other mining ships, which would have taken some time, but saved a bunch of money.

You do know that this game is not a race? I've been playing since December 2014 and got my Imperial Clipper just last year (2024).

They were offered as a tool to do the job,

But you could have bought all of those for credits and outfitted them for credits, then engineer them to be better than the jump start ships, all for free.
All while actually playing the game.

Geez give OP a break....

Mining ships are mining ships @Fenghuang. All have their strong and weak points.

Generally the best mining ship is the Cutter. For medium ships the Python is the best mining ship.
You not only purchased a pre-build but you also got several skins and ship kits at the same time. If you want a meta build. Do not buy the jump starters. You will need to build and engineer the ships yourself

The starter ships are just that: starters! They get you going.

Listen, as long as you're having fun, you haven't wasted your money.

I’ve never purchased pre-built ships, but I have friends who did, and that allowed us to play together and have fun. One of them passed away just one month after purchasing a starter ship and playing with the rest of us. Should I have told him, 'Save money and wait a few years to earn, build, and tweak your ship at your own pace'?

Have fun! It’s literally all that matters. Even after all these years and all the ships available, I often hop into smaller ships, which I actually find more fun. Just my 2 cents.
