It was pointed out recently that there is a real lack of content for the Wake Scanner. So I thought, why not make some!
Locate Pirate Base
"Commander! We've been under constant pirate attack for several weeks now. There must be a pirate base nearby, but we've been unable to find it!
We need to you travel to nearby Convoy Signal Sources and fight off the pirate there - but don't kill him! Damage him until he runs, and use a Frameshift Wake Scanner to follow him! He will certainly jump to several consecutive systems, trying to lose you! If you're not fast enough, he'll get away!
Once there, follow him until he drops out of supercruise, and follow his low wake in. That should be where the pirate base is located!
Be careful! If you follow him too closely, he'll know he's being pursued, and won't drop out of supercruise!
Also, this is a highly dangerous mission! You'll be attacking a fully outfitted pirate installation, as well as potentially dozens of waves of pirates, returning to defend their ill-gotten gains! You must be VERY prepared, and it may be wise to bring friends!
