New Mission Type Suggestion

As per discussion from another thread:https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDange...curity_service_wings/?st=isg6xd7g&sh=ded0b87a
It looks like there is a need for more engaging mission types. Currently missions only require you to have a ship, and whatever ship it is is up to you. You choose the ship you are comfortable in doing the mission. This is good in a sense that you can almost always do the mission in relative ease since it is in your terms.
But what if you are required to do a mission that is not in your comfort zone?
These new type of missions will require only your piloting skills and not your ship. Example scenarios:

"Pleasant day to you Commander. A recent wave of piracy has our security force spread thin. We need a pilot of your skill level to join our security force in a patrol mission on (x) RES for (Y) number of hours. For this mission, you are required to pilot a standard issue security force viper mkiii. Your ship will be waiting for you at the station when you have completed your shift."

"Good day Commander! Our fleet is running a bit low on skilled pilots. We want you to fly our Federal Gunship and provide fire support to our fighters in the conflict zone. Your current ship will be waiting for you at the station when you get back."

"Commander, I am coming to you in need of a big favor. Our pilot has fallen ill with Lavian Flu. We need someone to fly this T9 to (X) station in (Y)system. We will transport your current ship to (X)station for you while you're in transit."

"Good day Commander! It would seem that no one would take this shipment of (x) on their ships. We need someone to drive this SRV containing (x) to (y) station. We will transport your ship to (y) station for you in the meantime."

Now like larkin54 said in the other thread, CMDRs will just try to use this to steal ships. Well there should be safeguards. The mission ships' FSD and weapons will be disabled by the consignor/consignee if you try to steal a ship or undermine the mission.
Why this type of mission is important?

  1. It adds depth - Not that ED is shallow.
  2. It adds roleplay
  3. It opens up new opportunities to rank up
  4. It offers a CMDR an experience that takes him/her out of his/her comfort zone
  5. It offers lower ranked players opportunity to fly more expensive ships that are out of their reach yet.
  6. It may be possible to make a career out of it.
Any thoughts?
