Hi all,

Over the past few months, I am sure you all have seen our forums explode in activity! With that being said, I would like to welcome our newest moderator to the volunteer moderation team... Harbinger!

Please welcome him to the team, he's been around here for a while! [big grin][up]


I know some of you are curious... how does one get to be a moderator? 1) Don't ask to be a moderator, 2) Interact with the community, 3) Be active and supportive! Over time, we'll take notice and possibly shoot you a Private Message asking if you'd like to come onboard to the moderation team.[squeeeeee]

I'd like to thank Brett for the intro and of course thank everyone else for their well wishes.

Just to give a bit of further background I've also been volunteer moderating on the Elite Dangerous Steam hub for the last 2-3 months and as this forum is likely to see an upsurge in members once the Alpha releases in the next few weeks I was asked if I wouldn't mind moderating here too. Of course I accepted the offer as I love the tight knit community we're building here and want to help ensure this forum remains a great place to visit. [heart]

As Brett says above being asked to become a mod typically comes as a bolt from the blue because your posts are noticed as being polite and helpful. This was certainly the case for me, I wasn't expecting to be contacted to help moderate the Steam Hub at the end of last year.

Once again, thanks for the kind words guys. [big grin]

Well done buddy. I think you're gonna be a busy pup here over the next few months. You may have to consider ringing work and throwing a sickie every so often so you have time to keep on top of all the posts.[wink]
