Coaster Crazy New moon challenge-missing special track

Hi - first off - LOVE this game!! I know most people who post, are here to complain or find answers, so wanted to give a good post for a change. I've never had problems with this game crashing or otherwise. Absolutely love everything about this game!!

One question tho about today's moon challenge (Sat-Sun jan 12-13)

It wants you to put in one special track (tilt backwards -suspended)

I'm assuming it wants us to use the second track (suspended) for this mission, but when I go to use the tilt backwards special track, it's grayed out and says "use in campaign mode".

So I went to use a non-suspended track (wooden or steel rail), the option for tilt backwards is available but it's not "suspended".


Is this a bug??

Hi there,

Firstly, glad to hear you're enjoying the game! Basically for this challenge you're right in thinking that you need to use 'tilt backwards' crazy piece, but you also need to use the suspended track type as well.

Basically any piece of track that you want to use in the sand box first has to be used on a challenge plot, so if you go and use the Tilt Backwards piece with the suspended track elsewhere, it'll become available to you in the sandbox.

Hmm interesting.. So I need to use the specific special track piece in campaign mode before using it at the moon ... I wouldn't have thought of that.

I believe I have already used tilt backwards in campaign mode (but if its more than 25 gens, maybe I haven't).

I will check my old tracks and use it in campaign mode to see if this work. Thanx for the help.

P.S. What if I use a special track (let's say its worth 150 gems)... But want those gems back so I delete the special track piece to get my gems back... I wonder if that would work...

One more question - I noticed tilt backwards is like 75 gems, but I believe I've used it before. Do I need to use it on a specific track in campaign mode to use it on that specific track in moon mode?

For example - on the moon, I was able to use tilt backwards on the steel rail track but when I tried using tilt backwards (again on the moon) using suspended track, it said "use in campaign mode"

So are you saying.... We need to spend gems in campaign mode on each special piece (tilt back, hammer head, wibble wobble, etc.) on Each and Every track type (wooden, mini steel, suspended) before it will work in moon mode?

I believe it is just 2- one for upright track and one for suspended track, but I'll try and get you a definitive answer.
