new nvidia driver 353.62

I'm the first to try it, i'm always the first to them,
if i don't write back in 5 minutes, it's fine and i have no issues with it.

Everything appears to be fine for me.. Even upgraded my Oculus runtime to 0.6.0.1b, I can't say for sure but it certainly feels like I have a little performance increase from that Oculus Runtime, 2x in game super sampling and half way up on the Oculus quality slider, runs quite nice on my GTX980, occasional stutters but that's almost as usual for me.

In getting a lot of stutter and pauses with this driver!

Not sure if it is the driver itself or windows doing a heck of a lot of background tidying after my upgrade!!

Just upgraded from win7
Using nvidia gforce gtx 660 stock speed
8 core and fx CPU
16gig RAM

Might have to do a clean install at the weekend.

But their is supposed to be a 1gb windows patch update going out from tonight for win10 to address some issues!

By Clean Install I do not mean the full OS. I mean the NVIDIA option of Clean Install. It simply removes old files then installs fresh instead of updating them. Use the Experience program and select that after selecting update driver.
So you now use Win 10 or 8?

Sorry! Yup did a clean driver install

Just did Clean Install of update. Game crashed after 10mins. It turns out it unselected my KBoost option for factory Superclocking. Plus my fans did not spin up on my custom curve. It needs both to be turned on again after the update.
It still has stutters in combat. FD are not working hard enough at fixing this which is fundamental. All they have said here is they recognize it happens on some computers. That is NOT worth bypassing whilst adding other things. It is in fact a major BUG!

Obama wants to rid the stutter by 2025 by building the fastest supercomputer in the world. By then China will have already beaten them and had plans for an even faster one. Why are FD in denial? It ain't NVIDIA or AMD. It ain't Network either as it happens in SOLO!
FD fix your game!

X-Term, what's your rig's full spec?

My old rig was a bitser, running 2 x X5450 Xeons - whilst the CPUs weren't a bottleneck, the mobo-enforced DDR2 buffered and ECC RAM had nowhere near enough bandwidth to allow the GPU to run at anything like full performance - just wondering whether that is a contributing factor in your case?

Same memory. I find less stutter when reducing Field Of View and no limit on FPS but it may be just wishful thinking. There's always stutter and I ain't buying a new PC when this one should cope and does so on every other game with even 64 or the infinite number of players Planetside had.

Same memory - i.e. DDR2 etc? Fair enough if you don't want to buy a new PC, but this is holding back your GPU and ultimately your enjoyment of what is a pretty decent experience with what is, after all, a development kit.

In this case, not all the blame can be laid at FD's door.

All the people having issues and getting annoyed, you need to remember that DK2 is named DK2 for a reason. It is still in development. Elite Dangerous isn't supporting it as efficiently as it will be when the final version comes out. Once the drivers and hardware are established for Rift FD will get the coding updated and much more streamlined. I wouldn't spend 100's on upgrading just yet.
