New Nvidia Driver (GTA V release) 350.12 - Game Crashes

Update. Reverting the drivers did not resolve the issue for me. The crashes are happening predominantly in the Galaxy Map, but it has crashed elsewhere, such as when changing video settings.

The problem is exclusive to the GTX980. Myself and two of my buddies all have the exact same card. We all had the exact same crashes. After the update to the GTAV drivers we all started crashing even more. What we discovered, due to research on these forums and other places, is that the crashes are due to the GPU clock rate. Using Afterburner (or other software if you prefer) lower the clock rate between 100-200MHz. (Make sure and apply it before you start the game each time, or set it up to be automatic) You do not need to adjust Memory clock rates.

We found this solved crashes across multiple games: Planetside 2, Warframe, Dragon Age, etc.

Grats on a solution, but it is obviously not exclusive to the GTX980 when others with different cards are reporting the same issue.

The last 2 drivers (347.88 & 350.12) are crashing my game. I went back to the previous one (347.52) and everything works fine. I got GTX 660 ti

Nope, no crashes over here ever since i updated to a GTX 960 and even after driver update (350.12). With my old 660 i had driver crashes every so often and whatever i tried to fix it, nothing worked. Hope you will be able to solve your problems soon!

Curious... any of you with the crashing issues use Saitek devices? I found some issues regarding incompatibility with Saitek devices and USB 3.0. Testing it now, but I do know that when I had my x52 unplugged, I didn't crash.

EDIT: Crashed again. As soon as I went into the Galaxy Map and moved the map around with the mouse.

EDIT: Crashed again without the Saitek connected. In the Galaxy Map again. Once I moved the map around with the mouse, I crashed. It doesn't crash until I move the map around.
