I am a new player that is looking for direction in this MMO. I am casual and not interested in elitist gameplay. I am mature and looking to learn from others or team up with other like minded players. I am looking for a reason to keep playing this game.

We'd be happy to have you consider membership in AOD! We recruit and train new players all the time. We'd be eager to show you more about how ED works while giving you a consistent group of friends to play with. We have players experienced in PVP, bounty hunting, trading, mining, BGS manipulation (we own 10 systems now), Thargoid hunting (bi-weekly group event), Guardian tech and exploration. As a group, we're anti-player murder and anti-player piracy -- we play as "the good guys." We work together, help our own and often lend a hand to others around the bubble in need.

I run a excellent discord sever specifically for what you are asking.
We have a faction and a Squadron, but it is not necessary to join those in order to utilize the main Archive.
And, you will get no pressure from us to do anything other than what you want to.
We are a semi-large (600+ members) community of CMDR's from multiple factions and communities.
Basically we're a group of groups.
