And 1/2 the day was spent setting up my controls too... arggghh options to the eyeballs
Speaking of eyeballs... I think mine melted when I cruised to a belt near a red star .. so much eye candy

I'm an old timer from the days of elite and elite 2 .. ahh the joys of blasting around around the galaxy in glorious 8 bit colour heh
Having a bit of spare cash and been lusting after the simple bygone days of yore, I bought E
So far I've not been disappointed, the learning curve for the controls and flight have been hard, but I can now dock (ok well enough not to slam my ship into the side of a space station)
The graphics and sound have been impressive and I've managed to meet up in game with a friend and play dogfighting with voice comms with him
I know theres a lot more to the game than I can discover from a few hours play, but two problems have occured to me
1 Joysticks : can we have a deadzone set in the default setup? say 5 to 10% gets very twitchy if you dont notice this.
2 real life : anyone know any way of staying awake for 14 days straight playing this
