New rare good suggestion: Toilet paper.

In light of the great Toilet paper panic during the current pandemic in the real world

I thought it might be an opportunity for frontier to release a new rare good item that appears for sale purely in the main station of a faction undergoing outbreak state.

Buying this rare good would actually negatively impact on the background sim of this faction by reducing security status, there would be no positive impact on economic status.

Stations receiving large quantities of toilet roll due to sales of said item would not get any economic or security benefits. However there would be increased production of biowaste.

Increased biowaste production would make it easier for more stations and systems to be put in outbreak state.

Well, not really. What precious little I can get hold of will be required for its intended purpose. Otherwise I'll have to use one of the rabbits.

If you're that worried about keypads, look into buying a box of nitrile gloves. Toilet paper is porous and useless when wet. The gloves are waterproof.

You have to admit that it would make a great CG to establish a toilet roll rare good from some agricultural station somewhere - I don't know what we could haul to create it as there is no timber commodity. Shame that F D can't be bottomed to have CGs any more.

If you don't use the knuckle for anything else, it's unlikely the virus will spread. Besides, you can use a different knuckle each time you use a keypad, then use Antibac or wash your hands at an appropriate time.
