New Roller Coaster Ideas, in Planet Coaster Style

Hi,

Continuing with the theme of my previous two posts, I have some ideas for 4 new coaster types for Planet Coaster.

  1. "Quantum Fire", a B&M Launched Sitdown, categorized as "Launched - Twister" for short. An alternative launched steel coaster, similar to the Cloud Runner coaster type, with cars featuring four-across seating, like a mix between the Rage and Enigma coaster cars; in essense it is a modern take on B&M's first launched coaster, "The Incredible Hulk Coaster." With the "More Interchangeable Cars" setting, these cars can be use on any track that the Werewolf, Enigma, and Rage cars can be use on.
  2. "Comet", a Schwarzkopf Looping Coaster, categorized as "Classic Looping" for short. An iconic looping roller coaster design that quite a few users have requested, featuring the coaster's signature "box-frame" track and supports for its vertical loops, and a choice between the 3-bar or 2-bar track styles for standard track. With the "More Interchangeable Cars" setting, these cars would fit on the standard track types, such as the Standup/Floorless box track and the Single Rail track.
  3. "Wyvern", a Mack Mega Coaster, categorized as "Prototype Mega" for short. This coaster type would be surprisingly versatile, featuring both a standard chain lift and LSM launch track. With the "More Interchangeable Cars" setting, these cars could be used on any track that allows the Invincible coaster cars.
  4. A Mini Roller Coaster with two car types, "Little Star" and "Zoomer", categorized as "Mini" for short. A compact, non-inverting coastering using a track about as wide as the Loony Turns track; the rails would be rectangular instead of tubular to replicate the older style of the coaster. It would be a bridge between the Junior coaster and the larger coaster styles, such as the wooden coasters and the "Comet" mentioned above.
The Mini Coaster would feature two different car styles that each have their own unique performance and style. The "Little Star" cars would be E&F Miler coaster cars, resembling those used on Kosmo's Kurves at Knoebels, while the "Zoomer" cars resemble the traditional Zierer Flitzer cars, albiet with the additional option to run with either single cars or trains of the "Zoomer" cars. With the "More Interchangeable Cars" setting, these cars could be used on any track that supports the Crazy One cars, allowing a larger variety of options with these two new car types.

I made sure to take extra car to ensure the coaster types and car names replicate the thematic style of Planet Coaster, without making a certain other ride type feel completely obsolete. Mainly, the new car types would allow for a larger variety of coaster designs when using the Interchangeable Cars option mentioned above, such as a B&M Sitdown with a chain lift, a B&M Standup launched coaster, or other non-existent coaster designs like a Schwarzkopf hypercoaster on B&M track.

I'm looking forward to recieve feed back on these ideas, and I hope the developers will consider these ideas, as they would make fun additions to the already impressive lineup of coaster types in Planet Coaster

I agree wholeheartedly with the Schwarzkopf, Mack and mini. The B&M launch however isn't really necessary imo since it isn't really a common coaster model.

True, the only LSM launched B&M coaster as of now is a Wing Coaster, which exists as Cloud Runner in Planet Coaster. I mainly brought up the B&M Sitdown as a launched coaster for variety's sake, that way it didn't feel redundant in the face of the Floorless and Standup coasters. That, and it would give the more creative side of the community more options to use for an LSM launched coaster, as the Premier Rides style launched coaster cannot use other train types in the More Interchangable Cars mode. Only the Typhoon can take other train types in that way, and it uses a different track style than the B&M-type coasters.
