New Scanning mechanics needed

New scanning mechanics would bring a lot of gameplay with value to the game examples:


- Scan planets to find material hotspots and what type on the planet surface. (replacing the braindead search for material with actual gameplay)
- Send beacons to triangulate and find new bodies in the system (yeah remove the infinite range of adv scanner lame design)
- Scan to find nearby USS, drop out in USS zone, scan again or send beacons to know exactly where it is and move in normal space to destination.

As I wholeheartedly agree upon discovery changes, don't expect anything changing in near future. FDEVs already announced that exploration would face major changes with Q4 part of Beyond. So winter of 3304, no sooner. By that time (I expect some "community consultations, as we had with C&P) note your ideas, work on possible solutions. And when time comes - share in proper topic.

With luck it may be even be taken under consideration.
