New Ship or Graphic Overlay?

Saw this at Eravate...

I think it's just one ship superimposed over another, but interesting design nonetheless.

This overlay thing is becoming a plague. At first all I saw was ship melds like this (it is a nice meld, that one), but this week I saw someone with an asteroid on the nose of their ship.
