Newcomer / Intro New Ship Purchasing - Cargo transfers?

Hey guys,

I'm currently hauling goods between star systems in my basic Hauler - its capacity's ok but i'm looking to upgrade to a Cobra.

I'm currently fully laden with cargo at the space port i'm at (that has a shipyard).

My question is - will that fully laden cargo transfer to my new ship if i purchase and sell my hauler?

Also, if i bought the Cobra - but didn't sell the Hauler - i presume the cargo would just sit in the Hauler until i flew it somewhere?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

nope it wont u have to sell all cargo before getting new ship or take it to the station that it says if its a mission
