New ship: Vulture

Reading Mike Evans in one of the Python nerf threads, he mentioned that the Vulture (love the name!>) would be THE heavy fighter ship (very good at flying and fighting, pretty much bad at anything else).

I speculate manufacturer will be Core Dynamics (Vulture is a bird, so would fit as the Eagle big brother if we go with naming trends..) and a price of 70/100 millions stock, 240-320 millions fully kitted.

Probably 2 large, 2 medium and 2 small hardpoints, high speed, high maneuravibility (for its weight), and hardpoints placement to die for, with useless cargo and 14ly max jump range unladen.

I can't wait to jump from the brand new nerfed Python into this thing.

Yes, the one at the bottom left of this image

Judging by the size, if that is the vulture in the bottom left.
Id expect it to be around Asp price 7mil or so, perhaps a bit more if dedicated fighter.
Id also expect it to have similar weapons, 6 hardpoints maybe 4 med 2 small.

I'd say if the one pictured is it, it's likely to be around 20-30 million stock and 70-100 fit. I also highly doubt 4 large 4 medium, that's a bit too much imo. Maybe 2 large, 2 medium, 2 small. I just think the idea of 4 large and 4 medium which actually beats the Python in loadout compared to size is estimating too high. Granted, if they do, I'll be happy but then it better for balancing reasons have severe power management issues.

I hope that is the Vulture, but also, Fer-de-Lance looking to be a heavy fighter with similar silhouette. Which will be the better buy, i wonder.

I'm hoping that it'll be part of the five new ships that we can choose one for free. It was going to be the FdLance but if the Vulture is part of that line up...

Are you saying there will be 5 ships that we can pick one of them for free? Or are you saying you hope there will be 5 ships that we can pick one for free? I haven't heard of either so if the former is true then I can't wait for a new shiny free ship!

For Kickstarters and Beta Backers, yes.

I don't think a large fighter would have that much cost or hardpoints, I figured it would keep a bit of agility and such, since it's still a fighter, not a light gunship like the Python can be.

You probably right on the hardpoints, an heavy fighter that excels at combat will either have extreme maneuvrability vs Python thos, otherwise would be a bit unjustified

In regards to size, Not sure

The vulture is set to have just two large hard points actually and four utility hard points. So you can imagine with such a load out what the ship is going to be like to make up for it ;)
