In the current ship drought, I'll be happy even if the showroom of Faulcon DeLacy releases a Sidewinder MK2 with maybe an extra hardpoint or utility slot!

No it won't. We already know that.
It would be nice but not the end of the world if new ships weren't added. I suspect Walking Thargoid bugs are going to make their appearance but I suppose since there are assets in the game for some aforementioned ships, it could happen with update 13.
New ships would be interesting. However, they need to cover a niche not represented by the existing ships.

A new ship would be a good idea. Some of those that weren't interested in Horizons gameplay were convinced to purchase the expansion to access the Krait 2. The Clipper could convince some sceptics to pony up for Odyssey.
Drives me bananas, too. Almost as bad as the people who attribute the Courier, Eagle, and Cutter's manufacture to the Apple Company.
Move the utility mounts on top , or one on top one underneath but central over/under the tail and make the winch in the front work
A class 2 Distrib wouldn't hurt either.
Oh..
And a pony.
I'd like to see the Panther Clipper too, if only to disprove my pet theory that the ship did exist at one time, but the files were wiped years ago by someone at Frontier who thought a supersized freighter would let players make too much money at a time when some devs at least still fantasized about strictly limiting earnings.
