So how did they get that thing into the back of that truck? Looks like it might be inflatable.

Once again, a contract has been awarded, before the means to complete it, has been built. A bit like the jets of the 50s. Anything designed and built by NASA has a 50/50 chance of success. Like the old shuttle, a dream that will never reach the potential that its manufactures claim it will.
