new smugglers obstacle - or bug? anybody same experience?

did two battle weapons smuggling missions tonight.

got interdicted both times, npc/ system security force opened fire ("crime detected!") afer interdiction without scan (and i'm on good terms with their main faction), interdicted me a second time, and even showed up behind me at the outpost and opened fire (outpost let me dock anyways).

is this new? if yes: GREAT :) i want something to do for my 200 k - 300 k CR smuggling runs. or was it just a bug?

I also ran into this a few times, these NPC seem to be mission related and, fortunately, they don't scan you for 100k+ damage :) So, you can just run away.

I had this same thing happen tonight too. One trip was interdicted twice close to the destination and then I was attacked right outside the station while docking. On another trip I was attacked while docking without any warning. On an earlier trip I was suddenly attacked while docking even when I had an empty hold, so I don't know if it's really smuggling that did it. Through the three attacks I lost my ship twice in the space of ten minutes - 770,000 credits down. No military outposts, just standard space stations and standard slaves in the hold with no warning that there was anything special about them.

Ive been attacked outside statstions a few times recently and one of the missions was a hunt the pirate lord. Spent ages looking for him and got bored adn he turned up outside the stations and caught me off guard planing my travel route.

I love it and if we have more of this, the great! Extend the drop zone form 10 km or so to 20 km and lets have a little action in the on the edge of teh no fire zones.

I've had that happen recently, also doing an illicit cargo mission. Got interdicted very shortly after jumping to the target system, didn't want a murder bounty in that system, so boosted away and SC'd to the station. Deposited goods, and the authority ship was outside the station waiting for me when I left and started attacking me straight away, despite the fact I no longer had the cargo. :) (I was clean and not attacked again after I jumped out of the system and back in.)

I'm pretty sure its intentional, after all, we took missions so the 'system' knows we are guilty, and they presumably spawn a security ship for us to evade or shoot at.

I like to hit silent running as soon as I see a green dot on my sensors after an interdiction, and then just boost like mad.. Not sure this is effective, really, but it's fun.

yes, it looks as a new obstacle. right so, frontier! and they don't scan you. now, if they wouldn't only send an eagle, landing on station while being hunted would be really fun...

for now i imagine the following dialogue:

outpost to smuggler: "welcome, respected allied!"
system security novice: "he is a criminal! he has battle weapons on board!"
outpost to system security novice: "mind your words, young one! we never heard of any suspicious activity of that man!"
sytem security novice to himself: "i'm gonna take him done.... i can't let this happen!"
ship to smuggler: "docking successfull. engines disengaged."

Yes, the "crime detected" (in a Dalek voice) officer seems to be mission related. Some things to note:
a) You are never scanned, so there is no crime reported
b) He can set off on his laser rant BEFORE you even have the illegal items in your hold
c) He will chase you around the system and become very annoying

Dock and enter the station, he disappears. If you stay on the pad, he hangs around still.

Yes I've had this too - I put it down to the cops getting a tip-off, perhaps from a rival gang or some do-gooder dockhand who noticed something dodgy in the manifests!

No scan, no questions asked - they know they've got their suspect and it's justice time... (until I engage silent running and melt away into the black!)
