The Rocketship Relay is a relay race that is performed by a wing of 4 players. 2 Teams of 2.
How to play:
1) 4 Players get together and agree upon a ship that all 4 players will use.
2) Ships must have shields, A rated FSD, and at least 2 (or more per team agreement) Cargo space minimum. All ships must be the same type and loadout.
3) The teams will be chosen by the players, 2 on 2.
4) A start System and End system must be chosen. The System must be no Less than 2 Jumps apart.
5) A Halfway point must be agreed upon by both teams.
6) The Start point and End point must both be stations.
7) Cargo will be purchased (amount and type as agreed upon by the teams).
8) Start players must be in the station on the landing pad (returned to surface) and ready to launch at any time.
9) The other players must be waiting at the Halfway point (earlier agreed upon) in Normal Space at the Nav Beacon.
10) One of the players (elected by the group or chosen by coin toss) at the Nav Beacon will then call a start, either by voice comms or text comms to the wing. (An Agreed upon Third Party may be used)
11) Players will launch and race to the halfway point. They must enter the system, proceed to the Nav Beacon, Exit to normals space and Abandon (Must not be marked stolen) their cargo so that their team mate can pick it up.
12) Once the team mate has picked up the cargo, they then must race to the end system.
13) The winner is the first player to land with their cargo.
14) Losers must then transfer their cargo (Abandoned) to the winners team (Divided equally of course) as the reward for winning.
Variations: Double Runs (two way runs can be done by landing and end station, launching again and returning to same Nav Beacon, then Transfer cargo and back to Start Station), Ridge Runners Moonshiner Edition (having backup to interdict/steal cargo/destroy), Wild And Crazy (FA Off in Normal space), Blinders Edition (All manoeuvres in Normal space must be done in Reverse using compass for tracking positions), Rares Run (Cargo is Rares), Kiss of Death Run (Trying to kill the other team while in the race by Ramming, remember, no weapons), Deathwish Edition (Running Rares and no shields in areas of Open play where other Factions have declared Low-downs).
Come up with your own variations!
