Hi Commanders
I'm not sure if this is something anyone else has tried or even thought of (it's a bit bizarre!)...
Shooting the Scavengers at the Alien Sites... NOT just wandering up and locking on in the SRV then simply letting the lil'ole scavenger have both barrels!
Nooo....Park up on a prominent hill and WITHOUT locking on/targeting the little blighters..do long range sighting shots .... FD's collision detection is absolutely spot on accurate!
If you fire from extreme range it is almost like calling down artillery strikes on them... it has been the most enjoyable shooting I've had in the game..REAL skill and accuracy needed.
Also if the blighters do sus where you are firing from and start heading in your direction.. the adrenaline sure cuts in as you scramble to change firing tactics or get back behind the wheel to make a run for it...lol
Anyway...try firing when they are just wee tiny red dots in the distance.. and you might well need ammo synthesis when you run out of ammo..which you will.
