New station interior - I went "Wow!"

Saw a new interior today for the first time, and thought I had over-dosed on tea (again). Didn't realise there was another interior (thought a grey-blue or brown palette was about the most different it would get). I literally said "wow", not something a jaded gamer of 34 years does a lot.

I spent ages looking at all the details -
palm trees in space!
No doubt someone will say "Yawn, it's just eye-candy; where's the content? blah-blah", but I love it. It's those details that make for a rich and varied environment (in eye-candy terms) and something Elite does beautifully.

Erm, i don't thin kthat's new. I've seen that, if my memory serves me right, back in the beta, in Sol, Achenar, and any other tourism/service economy world.

It's not new. THere's only 2 types of station interiors: the default industrial station and the wealthy station with palm trees.

It's alright buddy .. I had the same wow moment too after a few hundred stations then coming across the flashy looking one.

We get all excited for just two .. imagine if there were actually more of those to seek out in the vastness of space :)

I had this moment when got permit to VEGA and it had palm station. Too bad system didnt have anything else to offer...

Says a lot about this game when someone gets excited about a new station interior.
How hard would it be to have a 100 or more?

Then you wouldn't be surprised and a yet another variation on the station interior would just be "same old".

Gavski, don't worry mate, you're not the first who find out about them late. It's one of those posh things. Been mining and bounty hunting in less than respectable systems for ages and thought about taking a vacation in Sol - Not that I support the feds, mind you! Just for nostalgia, "cradle of mankind" and all this teary-eye nonsense - and here I get to Gorbatchev and think "Ahh ... THAT's what all those Tear&Wear fees are used for ..."

yep, and Andrew Yola station in Shinigami sector (there are loads of others but this is the only one I can remember).
Ah, ok, in that case: The 'wow' factor came when I saw it was different, "wow, this is different. Not bad, not bad. Need more of this. Would be nice to see this in wealthy high tech systems."

I seem to have been hanging-about in the not-so-posh bits of the Galaxy, hence my child-like glee at seeing something nice and shiny. ;)

They ARE beautiful. First and only one I saw was Galileo. Every time I get a little jaded with Elite, it throws up something unusual and thought-provoking.
