I was looking at the new Stats in the Statistics Panel and noticed that "Max Distance from Start".

For me, it reads : 68985

I'm pretty sure my maximum (straight) Distance from a Starting Point was somewhere in the Phantom Sector and I was approx. 6900LY out.

Could it be that the figure is too high by a Factor of 10?

I checked mine and it is correct but some are obviously bugged. It's pretty obvious that anything over 66000 LY must be a bug as the furthest system that can be reached is 65373 from Sol.

I've got 69k too wich is impossible and I still have to breach the 60k limit.
Lvl 2 and 3 scans are still messed but I don't dock since beginning of july.
Total distance travelled and number of jumps seems ok to me.
Highest payout is 600k and I'm curious wich system it should be since I still have to sell sag scan. Could it be best page sold?

I guessed it must of been Sagittarius A. My max distance from start & detailed scans are bugged also

Mine is also accurate - it seems to be so for anyone who has reached their furthest distance since 1.4 dropped, people who were a lot closer at that point are all those I've seen reporting problems. The historical calculation seems to be a bit buggered, the current one appears fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.....it's just one of those meaningless bits of information that FD has put in the game....so that they can say that they have 'given the Explorers something' at the last update.

Iv not looked at my figure....cos i don't care, it means nothing to me!

Mine doesn't look accurate, but it's on the low side - I'm fairly sure the furthest out I've been is around 10 Kylies and the counter says it's only around 7 Kylies.

I'm a stay-at-home next to all you jet- uh, star-setting types.

Mine seems fairly accurate. Visited sag a* and my Max distance from start says around 25k Ly.

It's a meaningless stat but interesting nonetheless.

About the 'Start', is it possible to track back where that actually was? I'm a premium beta and I started with the 'Explorer Cobra' and not from any of the systems one read about is the start now.
Not too important, just for sentimental reasons. I think the system name started with a 'C'.

It's possible but not practical if you're in the bubble, as it involves traveling further than you've been before. For example, I'm now further than ever before, going further with each jump; all I needed to do to check which starter system I originated from was to google for possible candidates, then check my distance to them on the star map. The system where the "Max distance from start" statistic coincides with my distance to it is the one (was able to confirm it was LHS 3447 in my case - such a lovely name, just rolls off the tongue).

The game obviously knows where we started, and it would be easy to have this displayed in the statistics screen - not sure why FD is so adverse to displaying information inside the game. Can't even see shield strength without using out of the game tools.. silly FD.

Ah, yes of course. Simple yet clever way. Thanks! Yes, I agree, a little more stats wouldn't hurt at all.
