New Steam Store! But NSFW tagged? lol

Hey guys,
Looking forward to this game and saw it make it to the Steam store and even on my Discovery Queue!

What is strange is it's got the age-block/NSFW tagged... which might limit pre-order interest and unusual for a T-rated game?

Link to screencap: I've seen dozens of T-games that just go straight to them. Good luck with the launch!

I feel like if an age verification hinders your interest in a Jurassic World park building game, you weren't really interested in the game.

Unusual definitely, but I can't see this having a huge affect on presale value.

Don't worry about it. You won't be seeing anything you wouldn't normally see while watching a Nat-Geo special on big cats and other top predators. If you watch Shark Week you can handle this. You won't see any sexual situations, nudity or drugs. I mean you will be sedating Dinosaurs, but it's not like it's recreational use of illegal street narcotics. Though the Dinosaurs do act a little funny when they get hit with the sedation darts.

I am 33 and Steam still makes me verify my age. It's strange they did this for a teen rated game cause that is what the devs said they were shooting for, a teen rating. Which is why I guess we haven't seen much blood.

When I get stuck with Steam age verification I just go to any year past 2000 and hit enter.

Oh, I'm an old phart lol... just seemed odd and figure it may be incorrectly tagged to toss up this warning screen.

I'd also wonder if it might hurt pre-orders for some overprotective parents that might assume this warning is enough to reconsider even though it is a T-rated game. (and yes, I know other parents my age that are that strict in that way!).

It hasn't in the past, so it surely won't now. I'd say they're such a small group that they won't even put a dent in sales. The park building genre is a niche. It doesn't have the absolute wide spread appeal like battle royale these days. Evolution flies under radar while Fortnite is beeping away.

But if there are parents who find JWE to be too much for their kid, surely they're too strict to have even let their child see a Jurassic Park movie in the first place.
