New systems discovered

if you sync to EDSM using ED Discovery it has a star that indicates first discoveries but of course if someoen got to the system before you but had not handed in teh data at that time it may well be discovered by the time you get to hand in your data.

Also EDSM has no knowledge about what commanders not using EDSM are doing. The first discovery in EDSM just indicates the first commander to tell EDSM about the system, much as the first discoveries in game represent the first commander to tell UC about a body. The two sets of first discoveries are completely unlinked.

Game servers need to be beefed up so they can handle the queries, there is no sensible way of dealing with this issue other than being able to access the list when required.

I have thousands of discoveries to my credit, back when FD put a list I on the forum I was in 300th place, some of the players had over 10000 and that was over a year ago.....

I'm really hoping that the in-game commander's log in 2.2 will include all previous history, but I'm probably being overly optimistic and it will start out empty. At best I expect it will only include past data if you had verbose logging active, so it can query your files instead of E: D's database.

And then I find the thread from Zac...it's not an in-game anything...they'll just be providing a better event system for 3rd-party devs. So no past history included.
