New Thargoid Ship Incoming

Frontier have suggested a newer version of the scout would be making an appearance, these look like the older design, from ~200 years ago in game timeline. Also, the orange trails suggest an edge-on flight profile, whereas the interceptors are face-on. Personally, I feel like the new version may retain the central structure (it's teased in the beyond ch:1 trailer) but the newer design may have the segmented, petal-like shape of the interceptors, but simplified, perhaps.
I also fully expect these will carry a new weapon, similar to a beam laser turret, but with the yellow colour shown here, and maybe the ripple effect the lightning weapon has. 1, 2 and 3 hearts apiece, and perhaps 4, 8 and 16 thargons each, for cyclops, basilisk and medusa equivalents.

I'm still waiting for the 7 and 8 heart monstrosity versions of the Cyclops to appear.
