They also come with canister/cargorack, or even UA.
Yes, one of the Conda's had one. But all it said was something about leaving the goods, and scouting out delivery point. Was going to check out what that might be tomorrow. There was a canister of gold inside the ship, but no way to get it.

I've been getting mine from local factions that I'm allied with and take missions from. Then every so often they show up. I really enjoy them.

Huh...never seen one. Been doing all kindsa stuff, scanning points, data beacons, and cargo racks...no cryptic messages yet. Maybe I need to become Allied with some factions.

I just got one here, but there were no ships - (I landed pretty much on the coordinates) - just a fair few crashed probes scattered around with data points. Picked up a few cracked industrial firmwares only, and some low value intel packages

Now that's odd, because I got that one also, and found this.
Granted the only thing I found was a canister of Military plans, it was pretty cool.

Yeah that is pretty cool. I was quite disappointed with my findings - all after a 500ly round trip to get there.
Scroll your inbox. They don't always come in with any fanfare. Sometimes a mission giver will mention it, but most of the ones I get just appear in the inbox unannounced.
I had one a while ago, it ended up being the T9/Anaconda graveyard. I don't remember if the payout was that great but it was quite fun finding it after I'd worked out how to follow lines of longitude and latitude.
Never had any since, can't remember how I triggered it or if it was just RNG. Any reliable word on this?
Also I think it would be great if there was some different stuff to find rather than 'scan this for credits' or 'salvage this for credits'. Maybe a load of engineers blueprints or Universal Cartographics data could be loaded into your galaxy map with more POIs to investigate, it could be a way of adding some sort of quest type narrative game-play in addition to 'do this mission for credits' that we have now.

You should take a look at those Tip Off messages as well.
They rarely (in an optimistic way) got vessels with rare materials or UA.
And they will be there for some time
That's the thing, I only ever got the one Tip Off and none since.
I do have this in my inbox: a number 1 saying there is a message but nothing in the in box.

I get that consistently when there is a mission specific message (such as: deliver more quickly, there are people trying to sabotage) and I don't read the message before handing in the mission. The message will go away but the counter will not be decremented.
