new to mining i need advice

i`m a returning player who hasn`t played for a long long time and i am looking to start mining and have not done this before,, is there any recent youtube tutorials i can learn from, and which ship would you recommend starting out with and if possible if anyone is kind enough to set me up with a fitted mining ship on the cheap via coriolis

Much depends on what you're after: are you looking to do it gradually or get money as fast as possible?

I did it slowly on two of my CMDRs, trying different ships: starting with the Sidewinder and then buying one of the next ships: at every delivery I was able to upgrade to the next ship, whilst learning what was wrong/right about the ship I was using, and realising what I was enjoying and what not about each of them, what to mine or what kind of upgrade I needed (more cargo? more power? etc.).
My method is certainly the slowest, and I appreciate it is not everyone's cup of tea.

thanks for taking the time to reply ....yeah i`m looking to get money fast and i will be checking youtube so i`m wondering who to look out for and has the best and simplest tutorials ...basically a mining for dummies, as i said ive been out of the game for a few years and am looking to return a few of the 3rd party apps if you like are obsolete i know coriolis is working still but not checked other trade tools just yet but will get round to it later in the day as i`m coming off the back of a nightshift ...so any pointers in the right direction would be cool stay safe cmdrs o7

cool i think i have decided to use an asp explorer for starters and work my way up to maybe a bigger ship a little further down the line, hopefully it wont take me long to get an imperial clipper with a bigger cargo hold ...thank you o7 ... p.s. man i`m so far out of touch with this game ....when mining is it best to use horizons or just elite servers ?

Got a fuel scoop and no weps to save power. But you have power left over to install weps if u want. Feel free to swap things about if u want more limpets etc ie a smaller refinery
