Apologies for starting another one of these threads, i'll keep the "woes" short and the suggestions fun! I've only just started Pirating (NPCs) since joining Archon, before I was just a spacebum/Bounty Hunter...

I don't like: AI NPCs having an all-in-one scanner, either hit me with the KWS or Cargo but not both at once. Not so bad entering stations, getting past security is quite easy, but out in the wild with a lot of blips on the radar having your entire day's profits taken from you in just a few short seconds is a little harsh, or at least give me an indication of who is scanning me on the radar. Also, make NPCs value their lives, when I am much more powerful than my target and I shoot their cargo hatch off, have them run for their lives rather than turn to fight a battle they could never win. Sure if they weigh up the encounter and think they stand a chance let's fight but I feel very mean killing a hauler just because he won't leave me alone whilst I'm scooping his wares, I'm a rogue not a murderer...

Suggestions!
Now the whinging is out of the way, here's some stuff I'd like to see added!
Harpoons! I'd love a weapon that allows me to tether a target to stop them running (target must have lost shields of course!) maybe have it so that when shields go back up it cuts the tether or some other method for getting free? This could also be a great mechanic for boarding actions later down the line!
Cargo Shielding! Let me coat my cargo hold in several inches of thick lead to hide it's contents (or make cargo scanning take twice as long) have it reduce cargo capacity and increase mass to balance the pro/con
Deception! A module that lets you change your appearance, letting you pose as a local police ship. Being caught with this module will incur a hefty penalty (just like in real life). Maybe make it so it only confuses basic scans whilst a KWS/Cargo scan would reveal it's presence. Maybe some other downside that a pilot paying close attention could spot in order to stop it being to OP.

Please pick me apart or suggest your own stuff in the comments below. I feel like being a Pirate could be a great role to take but as it is currently it's missing a few tricks...
