new to the game

Hello Nub,

To Start off you need to realize this isn't your traditional pewpewpew game. This isn't Ace Combat in space. Space is massive, cold, and unforgiving. Your main objective is to just survive, if there is any. The second realization you must come to is this game is a sandbox. You must choose what you must do in life. Your not on rails, you cannot just click here and have your objective handed to you. You mush search for it, and find your own destiny. There are tons of professions ranging from pirating and hunting, illegal acts as well as legal, non combatant professions such as mining, exploring, trading as well as others. Your destiny isn't static. You can change it from time to time. Also you may not see it but every action you take affects the galaxy. whether its trading, selling, shooting up somebody, you are hurting and/or helping a faction's sovereignty and their love for you. the more love you get from these factions, the easier it will be for you to live. though for now, kiddo, your best off in your sidewinder looking at the Classifieds in the bulletin board. You can access this bulletin board by landing onto your friendly stations launchpad and selecting station services. from there you can access a number of activities from outfitting your ship with a new whistle or making love to a prostitute. Also i recommend watching other people play. that's where the majority of the knowledge I've gained come from. Good luck Commander and best wishes from,

Your fellow Pilots Federation member,
A Nub

P.S I recommend you buy an oculus rift ASAP to play this game with. I've never went back to 2D ever since.

one important thing to remember, a good habit to get into early on is to keep a eye on your right hand screen, 1th page on the re-buy cost of your ship, particularly when you upgrade components or buy a new ship, you always want to have more cash on hand then it costs to re-buy your ship. this can save you a lot of grief later on. you do get an up to 200k loan if you have a case of sudden depressurization or an flaming demise of your ship. this will be taken out of any earnings you make if you need to dip into that 10% until re-payed some ships you can obtain later that sum won't cover much of anything. do save yourself the heartache and keep an weather eye on that panel :)

still trying to understand how to get from point A to point B , this tutorial was not worth space monkeys for the real thing lol

Start out buy going to your systems sun then going to the nearby nav beacon, there you will hunt bounties and turn them in to the corresponding faction in your transactions section in the navigation menu

any tips on how these nav beacon works ?

mostly a place for quick Pew Pew, you often spot wanted people there, you approach them like a station and drop out of supercruise and look for wanted ships, careful with your fire, least you become wanted too, system authority vessels go occasionally try to fly in front of you.
