new trader

Just moved from my Clipper to a python and have a two jump route that nets me 720k in 11 minutes with 284 cargo.

It's been stable all weekend with imperial slaves one way and gold the other.

Is this a good route or is it worth searching for better?

Haven't done trading in months but looks decent. If you consider the time wasted looking for something potentially better I'd stay and milk it as long as it is fun.

i make a 1-1.2 mil. bidirectional in anaconda with 452 t space and i know there are better routes than this i am just lazy to move . so seems to me your route is a decent one . more experienced traders will give you their opinion here for sure , i am also interested .

Aye it's good and has plenty of high tech empire stations around to outfit as I go.

Also continuing to do empire missions in case the imperial courier needs higher rank than baron.

Loved my Clipper but the shields were pants and the diagonal landing thing did my head in.

I thought we liked Elite because of the 'no hand holding' yet constant hold my hands threads.

Well you are a bit of a aren't you...

Move along CMDR nothing here to see and your input is not wanted.

Just saw your post and I am a new trader as I worked up to it with combat not trading

Well you are running at 13800 cr/t/hr which is reasonable. There are better out there but the question is how sustainable are they, you say you have run this for a while and it's still ok so I would stick with it. Could take you a long time to find one of the better ones. but it does depend on why you are doing it. If it's just for cash then stick with it, if you want to find the highest yield route for personal satisfaction then yes there are bigger ones out there.

Cheers mate. It's more to outfit my Python as a 200t cargo fighter.

Broke my own cardinal rule and spent the first 5 hours flying without enough cash for a full cargo let alone shields or insurance lol.

Was also quite drunk on Friday night to the point I did not know if I was back in a sidewinder on Saturday morning until I logged in lol.

I am now insured and steadily upgrading lol.

#lucky

Haha I did that myself on the Python, T9 and Anaconda. They where the most exciting trade runs I ever made. I know what you mean with the drinking fears. I now switch to a Sidewinder before I go to the pub. Only way to stop the flying a fully loaded ship into side of the station epis odes. I reckon I am about 75 mill down due to my mistress the good lady Stella....

Haha Stella is my poison of choice too!

I have written off more ASPs than I care to remember thanks to the "mistress"

My car is even called "Stella" a nasty little rear engined rear wheel drive "I wanna throw you in a ditch" MR2 lol

Unfortunately I couldn't find a decent one so had to settle for the mk3.

Whilst not as quick it's still a great fun go-kart lol.

It was a toss up between that and an MX5 - for my wants and needs made it the perfect choice for me.

Mk3 is by far the better anyway. Cheers.

Trade route return is fine.

Trade in slaves is not. I shall not come looking ;)

Damn that Thargorian Ale... Late Friday/early Saturday morning, 450t of cargo, full boost through the slot in my Conda. Took out the shields and hull down 60% as I clipped the wall on the way through. Though it did slow me down enough that I didn't pancake the back wall too.

If you set Nu as your location on thruds and do a 60ly search there are a bucket load of 2200 to 2600 routes mate.

Not giving you mine but that will find you something good as long as you don't mind 2 jumps.
