with the T-9 you are probably going to want to set the max hop distance to like 20 or under since loaded it cant jump farther than 13Ly and anything over 20 will most of the time be three jumps which you also dont really want. Also dont forget to set it to Large landing pad.
edit: if your jump range is 7ly you need to reconfigure your loadout and get the lightest components possible. the less your ship weighs the further it jumps. On the T-9 you dont need high rated modules since they wont really effect how the ship moves anyway except the frame shift drive, you want the ones with the least mass. if you keep it 7ly it will take so long to get anywhere you would make more money trading in a smaller ship.
If you are pure trading try something like this:

That will give you 13Ly laden jump range with 496T cargo.
If you want you can drop the shields and the docking computer and take more cargo, but I personally keep the shields for that interdiction from the Python or Anaconda where I screw up and get mass locked. You can ditch the docking computer too but pure trading its easier especially since you will be doing other stuff like reading or watching tv lol.
Weapons you dont really need. If you want them I recommend two turreted beam lasers in the medium hardpoints but then you will need a bigger powerplant too. The front hardpoints you might as well leave empty since you will never be behind anyone lol.
Also I recommend keeping the heat sink you might even want two.
