I have always struggled to play this game on my laptop so i have to use my wifes work laptop, which means not that much play time, my specs are
Samsung RF511
Intel i7 2630QM 2.00 Ghz
RAM 6 Ghz
Graphics Nvidia GT540M 1 Ghz
Anyway, i thought i would give it another try, and when i launched and the game loaded with me at the station in the cockpit, holy crap its smooth, when i load the starport services it opens straight away (normally i can go and make a cup of tea) same with the galaxy map not stuttering or anything.
I checked the graphics settings and its now picking up the graphics card, it always just showed the intel hd card before. OK i can only run on low settings but better than stuttering.
I was struggling to save for a rig that will give me decent frame rates, with a view to slowly upgrading to a rig that can run 3 screens at ultra setting, so at least now i can play when i want and save for the monster rig.
