New Updated Beta? June 18...

I had just finished a session (after failing to warp successfully out of Supercruise) of E when I noticed the button that usually says "Play" on the launcher said "Install". I'm currently downloading it as we speak.

Could it be Premium Beta 2?

I cant even log in, the installer hangs for a minute or so then says 'Service Unavailable'.

Just tried my launcher. It's still the same as before. Just comes up play.

EDIT: Now it is not responding. Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't expect an update this week, and not an unannounced update, surely?

FD said they'd give an update about the next release at the end of the week. I assume that means they'd give the date in the Friday news letter.

I dunno about you, but I'm heading over to my User/Appdata/Local/Frontier developments/Elite dangerous/options/bindings and copying my custom.bind file just in case.

I dunno. It uninstalled my previous version and is installing this newer one apparently.

I suspect a glitch. I have had it come up with 'Purchase' instead of 'Play' a couple of times today.

And I get 'Play' not 'Upgrade'

The launcher available to download from the shop is still the current version in use.

I had the same problem but now it works normally

This happened to me yesterday too, I think it was some sort of server side change.

Half hour later the servers were back up and client was the same.

My client seems OK, no updating going on or anything.

i had the same (service unavailable) for 3 4 minutes after it showed "install".
since its working as expected now (play), i assume they did a server reset, cause it all started with me hitting an invisible wall :S

nothing happens without a reason, so i expect the update soon™-ish

Probably they were doing some sort of maintenance as I could not login to the launcher for the last 10 minutes.
