Proposed stats:
gives a 50% bonus to both heat capacity and heat dissipation. However, as a downside, it gives a 100% boost to detection range per % of heat. It would be able to be engineered, with engineering increasing its capacity and dissipation but also boosting detection rage per % of heat (not sure by how much). There are two experimental effects: one boosts the heat dissipation while losing heat capacity, and the other boosts heat capacity while losing dissipation. It wouldn’t be of much use, if any, on a combat ship or trade, but it would be very useful on an exploration ship. Obviously, these numbers would probably have to change for balancing purposes, but I think the basic idea is sound.
any thoughts?
