New VR tech gen on the way with PASCAL.

Well was gonna wait for these to launch and buy a used 980Ti on the cheap but I think I'll just get the next flagship GTX. this gives me chill bumps to think about. hope it can run crysis lol..thanks for the vid :)

Jen-Hsun is always so enthusiastic when he is on stage and talks about Nvidias new technology. I can't help but wonder how big of a deal the Pascal will really be in reality. But if it's so powerful as Mr Huang says it'll be, I'm sold.

I'm not a tech freak so all these transistor numbers doesn't tell me anything. The price tag will tell me about it though lol. :D

Nice video. Not sure I'm going to be able to afford one of these puppies, but on the plus side as mentioned by Beavis the new cards tend to force down the price of the old ones so in the short term I may benefit from that.

"Reports from APAC based sources suggest that NVIDIA already has production of their Pascal based gaming GPUs in full swing.
.... Digitimes also reports that NVIDIA will unveil their gaming class graphics cards based on Pascal architecture at Computex which begins on 31st May.
.... The more surprising bit is that it will be only NVIDIA who will have the initial wave of cards on retail through their NVIDIA Store
.... seems like the first cards will use the NVIDIA reference design and the custom card solutions will be available by the end of June or early July which is when NVIDIA will start mass shipments to retailers."

Maxwell promised all sorts of vr enhancements. It was due to that I got a 980. Afaik they have not found their way into any games yet so I am worried if Pascal is now the "new" card for vr now

Been around way to long and heard way too much hype to bite, until real world reviews are in. nVidia and AMD have always made outrageous claims prior to release of new GPU's and more often than not it is just hot air.

I hope it's true but, I'll wait.

And delivered last I checked with timeshift and such technologies?

Pascal can go the next step after that, improving it even more.....very promising.

Wake me up when it works. I am still sour about the fact that the latest Nvidia drivers won't even install if you have SLI, and the fact that we never got VR SLI as promised.

Am waiting for the first "I'm skipping Pascal" comment as they wait for the next big GPU series. :D

funnily enough.... given the huge strides made in the oculus rift runtime with ASTW working, and even tough games like ED working well, there is a chance i may do just that and hold onto my gtx 980 for another 12 months.

initially i bought it expecting to use Nvidias VR SLI, but so far that is looking a lame duck, or to replace with pascal but TBH is probably not needed.

My monitor gaming is only 1080p and will stay that way till i can get a 4k 70ich + TV to replace my existing 1080p one.
