New Years Elite Resolutions - What are yours?

Mine is easy. On my new account I will only fly FA Off in 2016. Will be horrific to begin, but it's the only way to go.

How about you?

Around June I will begin a campaign to convince all other commanders that the next season, coincidentally to be called Elite: Resolutions, is a blatant cash grab and nobody should pay those arrogant, Ferrari driving, champagne quaffing con men for yet another broken expansion. I will of course ignore the fact that the payment is for a full year of content coz, you know, that might weaken my argument a bit.

After Resolutions has been on sale for 1 week I will then proclaim it a massive sales flop as it hasn't sold in the same numbers as Dangerous or even Horizons. This will ignore the fact that I won't even know how it's sold at this time. Proper facts can be very confusing, especially if they disprove my ideas!

However, it's not too late for this to be avoided. All FDev have to do is tailor the game to my precise requirements which I think I have every right to be entitled to and everything will be fine. Unless, of course, my changes completely break the game, in which case, FDev, you've only yourselves to blame!

:p

Take more exercise

Eat less sugary things

Spend less time playing Elite

If you come across CMDR Frank in the game it will probably just be a coincidence that you chanced upon me just as I'd played for the first time in a long time. Don't bother trying to hail me using voice comms. I find it hard to speak when I've got a mouthful of chocolates.

Well, my first FA Off exercise begins today. I have an "L" plate affixed to the rear of my ship, but just to be safe keep your ships docked for the next few hours to avoid unwanted collisions.

To reach Elite in Combat. Got Elite in Trading earlier today, already got Elite in Exploration from last year.

My first hour in the cockpit using FA Off was eye opening. The 2,000+ hours of FA On did nothing to prepare me for even the simplest of tasks including docking.

FA Off is one of the hardest things I've ever tried. It does not feel natural at all and even the smallest uncorrected action can lead to disaster. Not giving up, but man I have nothing but respect for people who fly FA off. Wow...

Clear save and play complete Ironman - if I die I start again

lasted as long as the rest of my resolutions do :)

Reach Beagle Point with my DBX, along with Sag A* and the Great Annihilator (plus the neutron fields and the Formaldine Rift).

Drink more, smoke more and find lots more interesting and un-healthy things to occupy my time.

As to the game? Break into FD and take some valuable hostages and then make my demands for the game I want to play: Starting with my free Cobra IV.

Spread Independence & Democracy all over the Galaxy

Will I manage that? *lol* of course not... but no harm in trying :D

To definitely stop playing ED in June and play NMS instead. At least NMS will have a nearly infinite amount of ships available ( RNG made ships ), the game will be actually finished when it comes out, not as headaches prone as ED and planets aren't all recolored moons!
