New Years Eve Lazer Show

"It's just around the corner, the turn of a new year. If you're looking to see out the end of 3301 with friends and good company
then those great guys at ESS are here to help. They'll be holding a New Years Eve Lazer show and community gathering.
Players will be coming together in game at Alkaid 13 A, Hume Relay and everyone will be joining the celebrations on Twitch!"

Has anyone else seen any more info on this and is anyone (with Horizons) making a pilgrimage to Alkaid - Hume Relay (2,927.97LS) on Alkaid 13A for this?

I can only think it is something from the USA. Neither Collins or the Oxford dictionary know anything about this 'lazer' of which they talk. Not quite up to these little gems though

If I had to guess, it was probably written up by that Zac Anto-something-rather, the Community Management guy, who's known to throw in a few typos here and there.
I could be wrong though, as I said, it's just my guess.

Just landed there. Witnessed another Cmdr park his Clipper and greet me blinking his lights.
Suddenly, one of the drones patrolling about, crashed into Clipper and exploded. Next thing I know, all base's defenses fire at the poor Cmdr chap.
Fortunately, he boosted away in no time.

Pretty hilarious so far.

That's a Cutter, not a Clipper and it was me on the receiving end! Heck of a surprise! Got away with just 9% hull left and a wanted status!

Paid it off and coming back!

Well that was worth the trip out ROFL

Couldn't get into the instance where stream was based, not another player in sight (or scanner range), flew out a bit from station thinking there would be a be display of some kind at least, landing in a hurry and came down too quick and took a lot of damage, chose a bad spot to land at (crater wall in way), got into SRV but by the time i reached a spot i could see city it was all over if it happened at all in my instance ROFL

Wish I recorded that drone bumping into your shield and going kaboom instantly. Looked hell of a funny, until all the ground turrets opened up. Glad you were on the bridge, otherwise there would one more, a little bigger boom.

First time in my life I saw this many commanders in one place, and not blowing up each other.
I definitely need to keep my eye on any other events - be it surface races, or any other fun stuff.

Had a great time at the meet up tonight and enjoyed the laser show and taking part in the fly past. Well organised. Did anyone get it recorded for posterity? I got a few good screenshots.

They should add a lore filter that filters out words like ''game'' ''Play'' ''Played'' and so on
