New Zorgon Peterson CG

The new CG is offering a (misspelled) Focussed and Lightweight point defense. What is this? I've never seen focused on a point defense. Or is this just a error.

Its the peak PD. The one. The true PD. The seekers best counter, in game. Couple years ago, there was CG wich rewared these, and now its back.

It has way more range, and have very high speed, thus its twice as much effective. It takes a lot of missiles, to overwhelm such.

Missiles, especially seekers real threat isnt dmg, but thier ability to deal with external moduels, wich are Drives, hardpoints and utility slots, if shields are down, wich are not protected by hull resists, only partially by MRP's. It only takes couple of seekers, to destroy most ships drives, to make them unable to move, similar to ability to destroy all or most hardpoints of target, so it cant fight back anymore. In other words, seekers are best at making targets immobile and disarmed, once shields are down, rather kill such outright.

Still, couple posts ago on another thread, I did mention about this PD(wich is kind of ironic), wich would be nice to have on panther, or any ship basically, wich is expected to lose thier shields. Basically every PVE bulid should have one of these, wich isnt shield tank, if they dont wanna be humiliated in open.

Guess what, those all panthers wich soon will replace most of T9 or other haulers in universe, gonna needed it, if speced for cargo capacity, especially if fancy for Open.

Thanks, great description.
Yep, make sure you grab this one, you wont regret it, once see how good it is, when compared to regualr PD, and how its levels above, in its job.

2 regular PD's, are worse in missile protection, than single focused PD (just make sure you place it well, where it covers drives), as by normal means, "focused" aint is possible via engineers.

Just delivered several hundred tons to make sure I got one. But now I want two Fdev. 😁

You should be able to sign for both CG's, hauling is already done, single pirate npcs should be sufficent, as both only require 1 contribution to be enabled for those rewards.

Its quite generous from Fdevs, I must admit. I guess they wanna make up for panther phasing issue.

You can do more than one CG at a time 🤯. I foolishly always assumed it was one of the other. Off to shoot some pirates.
There are two types of CG's. Ones wich share mutal goal (protect and trade), and on such, you can sign for both, because its same goal essentially.

Other type are like previous CG, the "rivaly" CG, where two or more diffrent factions or super factions compete with each other (power vs power or imps vs feds etc).
In past it was possible to sign for both as well, but those days are gone, and right now, when there is rivaly CG, you can only chose one side, and there even will be a warning, if you would already picked one side and would sign to another.

These are traditional 7 day CGs that we can sign up to both, so if you and the CGs meet the criteria you could get two sets of rewards.
Indeed, went and blew up pirates for half an hour and it counted it. All this time i assumed you could only do one at a time, I hate to think what all I missed. Thanks!

There's one in Lekan Yu I've been using and I've heard there are also some in other neighbouring systems that have valid bounty targets, but I can't confirm.

Uhm, I thought only targets in Aiaba system would be considered valid, quoting the CG rules:
Commanders can support this initiative by destroying hostile pirate forces found at the Nav Beacon or Hazardous Resource Extraction Sites in the Aiaba System
again, they say hazardous resource extraction sites in Aiba, but I can't find any

I'll try what you suggested, though if it works I'm not sure if this is still considered to be working as intended or not 🤷‍♂️

Any bounties issued by the controlling faction of Aiaba are valid, so make sure you have a KWS fitted.

I'm hyped for this. Mostly because at the moment I'm always flying the same ship, a G5-engineered, unshielded hybrid explorer/multi-role Cobra V. And you get to a point where you've tweaked every module, you've completed the build, and there's nothing more to do... and it's disappointing. It has a single ordinary lightweight PD on it at the moment, and I've been looking longingly on EDSY at the mythical focused+lightweight PD that I can't get.

And now I can get it. And based on your description I'm not going to regret it – because for this ship I really need as much PD capability as possible.
