Newbie interaction question

Ok, i have disembarked, and gone to the bar.
how do I talk or interact with characters?
i have tried E and F keys. No joy.
sorry for basic question.

might have to try checking your controls... press escape and look at the on foot controls. You will have a number of default options. Try the keyboard and mouse as its easier than a joystick. Good luck.

Yeah. In settings, you'll have an "Interact" button and a "secondary interact" button you may need to remap.

When you get close to a character you can talk to a bubble should appear with their name and the letter/key/button symbol that you need to press to 'talk' to them. Assuming you have something in the binds.

In the bar this will be the bartender and a couple of mission givers near the windows.
