Hi all, just bought elite for my son, well he bought it and i transferd the money to his account. Silly sod just bought the mercenary edition when I would have got him the beta, Kids ! Anyway I asked him if he had set up his commander name yet and he seemed to think he couldnt but surely he should be able to or has he got to wait now till he can download it. Cheer's happy hunting.

have a look on the main site in your account settings and check out their FAQ i think the link for naming your Commander is in there sorry i can't remember the link myself at the moment it was ages back i did mine.
