[NEWS] 13th Legion Responds Directly to Zachary Hudson

After Ramsbottom Hub in Segovan was incapacitated via an Unidentified Artifact bombing carried out by the 13th Legion and the Achenar Immortals, Zachary Hudson responded quickly with the following statement:

"The individuals responsible for this cowardly attack clearly care nothing for the people of Ramsbottom Hub, whose lives have been severely disrupted. These people are terrorists, pure and simple. I want to assure the people of Ramsbottom Hub, and all Federal citizens, that we will find the individuals responsible, and we will make them pay."

Just hours after this statement was made, Federation media sources were hijacked with a repeating transmission. The transmission only played for approximately twenty minutes before it was shut down by Federal authorities, but it played for enough time to reach nearly all Federation systems and undoubtedly the President Zachary Hudson himself. Here is a copy of that transmission:

To: The War-Mongering Dictator Zachary Hudson

From: The 13th Legion Imperial Combat Wing

The blood of the lives lost in Segovan is on your hands. For too long your rule as dictator of the Federation has spread fear and destruction throughout the Galaxy. Your Federal Agents attack innocents throughout Imperial and Independent systems; your military reaches its oppressive tentacles into the Pleiades System.

No longer.

You call us terrorists, but we are patriots of the Empire. We fight for the protection of innocent Imperials along the Federation/Imperial border, as well as those unlucky enough to live in systems under your authoritarian rule. You say you want to find those responsible for the attacks on Ramsbottom Hub? We will make it easy for you.

In forty-eight hours, the 13th Legion will launch Operation: Hammer-Fall. We will come to the Federation capital of Nanomam and deploy a system blockade. Any ships that ignore the blockade will be destroyed; any authority ships that try to stop us will be destroyed. We will rain fire on Nanomam until the system is placed under Lockdown and the commodities market of your capital system is closed. We will force you to recall your capital ships to Nanomam to restore order so that they are not holding the Pleiades Sector hostage, and so that they cannot be deployed against innocent Imperials. The destruction in Nanomam will be catastrophic, but you have one chance to stop this from happening. If you agree to the following terms, we will cancel Operation: Hammer-Fall.

1) You step down as President of the Federation

2) You recall your capital ships from the Pleiades Sector

3) You recall all Federal Agents from Imperial-controlled space permanently

Do these things, and our ships will cease hostile operations against the Federation. Refuse, and like in Segovan, the blood of Nanomam will be on your hands.

***END TRANSMISSION***

The transmission has sent ripples of panic throughout the Federation, no place more so than in Nanomam, where a steady stream of ships leaving the system has already begun. There has been no comment from the Federation or Zachary Hudson at this time.

Wonder how both the Federation and hand of god will respond.

FD stated that it likes such "emergent gameplay", so i guess they'll do nothing... at first. You see, if the Legion of 13-year-olds would irritate too many people with their "blockades" and such, FD would have to intervene.
As for Federation... I guess all Fed-aligned PVPers now know where to go in order to kick Imperial backs.

If only their Emperor was strong enough to break away from the obvious manipulation that is driving the Empire and Federation towards the brink of all-out war. If only the bigotry and extremism could be set aside to make way for diplomacy. In the end though, the Empire is showing that it is really just as corrupt and careless as the Federation if this is the best they can manage when they have terrorist groups running rampant around the galaxy in the Emperor's name.

This isn't the 13th legion from SWTOR is it? I know it is a generic guild name in a lot of MMOs but I can't quite remember where I know it from.

I cant wait for the Empire to publicly condemn the actions of this group of radical extremists. Behind closed doors sure the imps would be all for terrorism to achieve their own agendas, wouldn't be the first time. But when it comes down to it the empire will just use these guys as scapegoats to save face for their own selves.

Once the rouges have been brought to heel then negotiations can hopefully begin. Diplomacy is needed right now more than war, but only time will tell how it all goes I guess.

13th Legion's effect on anything is trivial at best.

As for those list of demands, I'll take " crap :p that won't happen" for 200 Alex.

Hey Shady, could you do me a favor? Please read some of the novels, lore and background of the Empire. Imperial officials, regardless of their flaws, have style, speak eloquently, and present themselves carefully in diplomatic situations. They are not attention-seeking infantile baboons. Its impossible to take you seriously if you cannot grasp the very basics of the culture you pretend to represent. Thanks, and good luck.

Btw, instead of making boring impotent threats, you could try not to fail once in a while. I dont mean just the recent CG, the last few direct encounters between the Empire and Federation have been horribly one-sided. Maybe shut down your browser and spend a bit more time in flight school would help. Good luck! I hope you'll improve, because we've been seriously lacking any kind of opposition lately, and considering you're the 'leader of the Imperial Navy', I guess that means you're responsible. :D

If the Emperor asks us to withdraw our forces, we would do so with utmost haste. Since we haven't had any response from the Emperor, we will continue to perform operations as we see fit being the player Imperial military.

CMDR Nightshady was not an Imperial noble. His parents were killed in their home system of Woyo Mina by a Federation raid when he was a teenager. He was forced to become an Imperial slave for over a decade to pay off his debts after his inheritance was squandered. During that time, he embezzled money from his master from which he purchased a pilot's license from the Pilot's Federation upon the completion of his term as an Imperial slave. From there he ascended the ranks of the Imperial military to his current position as Lord Commander of the 13th Legion. He does not speak or act like an Imperial noble, because he never was one.

[SUGGESTION] Wouldn't it be a rather wise idea if whomsoever runs the Commodity Markets in each station *didn't* pay loads of money for these service-disrupting, station-closing artefacts? Wouldn't that be a good idea in a self-preserving kinda way?

Still a load of crap, the empire's military does not act independent of the emperor's wishes. So as lord commander, you just went rogue and completely against your own faction, good job.

One would think so. By now the news should be out and people should say F no we don't want that here. But... it is one of the few tools players have to interact with the BGS so directly.
