It seems to me that the casual, and non-forum, players will likely be missing out onmany many discoveries - e.g. J-Jameson's ship.
So, I'd like to suggest that once a discovery is made, and after a suitable 'propagation time', every commander gets a colour coded book-bark added to their galaxy map, indicating the discovery.
The bookmarks can be deleted by the player, but we all get them. Much like we all get (and ignore) GalNet.
I can't see a down-side from this, and I can see players making trips they never would have imagined otherwise.
