Newsletter Doesn't Mention The Thargoid Kills

I was just wondering why the newsletter doesn't mention the fact that a few CMDRs have already managed to destroy a Thargoid ship?

No offense to the Cannon group but this time around they don't have a monopoly on all of the firsts to do with the Thargoids. The newsletter only mentions Cannon's achievements and completely omits the first recorded destruction of a Thargoid ship by human CMDRs. I mean the newsletter is pretty up to date with everything else such as the new AEGIS CG and the new weapon it will unlock so it's a little strange that such a key event in ED is not even mentioned.

While we're on the subject, Galnet is also surprisingly devoid of any kind of mention about the Thargoid ship destructions.

It does mention them. It is also mentioned in GalNet.

I would say that it went into publication before said kills took place.

Also with all the photo shop technology about these days, we only have the word of a few puppies, that said kills took place. Things of such importance require complete and valid conformation.

It could very well be the case that it was prepared before the Thargoid kill was reported.

As for evidence of the Tharg kills, Harry Potter had a live stream going on the day that showed them clearly fighting and killing a Thargoid Cyclops interceptor. They were the first to publish evidence of a Thargoid kill. It's up on his Youtube channel if you want to see it. And by now a lot of other people have videos of killing Thargoids up on their channels too. It's undeniable fact that Thargoid ships have been killed and are being killed right now

I expect they are written a few weeks in advance, with minor tweaks being made before being sent out.
Well the first report of a Barnacle Forest (following the link provided in the newsletter) happened on the 27th September. The first reported evidence of a Thargoid kill happened on the 28th. They did still have at least 1 working day to write up a breif mention. Maybe I'm being a bit too demanding but it is a weekly newsletter that's supposed to compile a run down of that particular week's most significant events. By the time next week's newsletter comes out killing Thargoids would have become old news.

Yep said it loads lately, GalNet is so under-utilised its unreal.

Good, we don't want them promoting cheats and liars now do we?

Oof that chip must be getting heavy by now mate.

Tell me does it burn to know that SDC time and time again get pull off these OPs to such an extent that we get games media promoting us and the game we love?

you would think that games media promoting the game would make everyone happy but no... some people still have sand in their no no parts it seems.

You exploit and cheat as much as possible but expect respect with a occasional PR exercise; NO. you may convince others of you're good-will but it's all PR to cover the toxicity you proudly display most of the time one only has to view a stream to know your true approach; enjoy but you don't fool all of us.

Doesn't bother me at all. You guys got the kill, you should get the credit. That being said, it does seem to bother you that your name isn't mentioned on Galnet. Which is weird because as everyone knows, you are NOT an attention seeking troll.

We don't need frontier PR we have games media for that... also if I am such a cheater and I don't fool anyone why am I about to stream for Elite_Aid?

I have no issue with not being named, I commented here simply because while SDC might not care others seem to or at least see that we are pushed to the side with no explanation, not that one would be needed. :D
