Next big update :-)

So what do you think frontieer has in store for us?

an expansion pack? an DLC pack?

I hope to see more water rides, maybe a boat hire, swimming pools, or a water slide.

or how about some more family rides? like mini golf ? a maze, a spooky house

Always hungry for more, eh.

I'm hoping for some new tools to make some things easier to place. (E.g. Place things in a line?)

I'm hoping for some new gameplay mechanics to flesh out the game side of things, which is still weak.

I'm hoping for something to make popularity a bit more dynamic, so you can't just plop down the most popular things because you know that's what will attract the queue.

I'm hoping guest AI will be further refined to overcome a couple of snags with the current system (though it is the best to date, few things missing.)

I'd hope to see a new theme or two (horror my number one!) As well as further expansion of the current pieces.

I'd hope to see 2m wide walls and make sure every set has a full collection of colourable pieces.

And of course, more and more rides!

There things will likely come as free updates as well as expansions and dlc. I don't mind as long of frontier continue to offer value for money and don't lock up workshop pieces because i dont have theme pack 37.

Oh, and mods and ugc. Just a little ask.

im hoping for a paid DLC pack, it feels like PC is now at the level that the vanilla RCT3 was , would be nice for something like Planet Safari next (PAID)

I think we'll get a water themed update for the summer and a spooky update in the autumn/fall, possibly as paid DLC or maybe paid DLC with a small free update. I'm sure whatever it is, I'll love it, Frontier haven't let me down yet! (Apart from the absence of goats)

top of my list id really really like a scenario editor!

safari and water expansions would be amazing!

id really like the boat/jet ski/ swan ride

I cant think off the top of my head what this is called but the monorail to be able to go back and forth and not a circuit. Also add cable cars.

Any new scenery is always great especially animatronics. would love dinosaurs.

Weather!

More shops that sell merchandise - toys - you should be able to buy character memorabilia, everybody needs a chief beef keyring or teddy!! park maps, umbrellas or those plastic bin bags people wear....ponchos?! Colourable balloons or different shapes and the ability to select what you sell in all shops like they've done with the hats. That would give some nice game play features for managing what food you sell.

seating with tables so that the guests sit when they eat instead of walking around.

The games already great though. ive literally wasted hours already hunting down pick pocketers!

would be great if you could have an option to scale scenery pieces.

For free i only want feature i fell a missing glaringly(collisions used to be number 1):

A scenario editor
Bilboards
A map with multiple texture (like a varied biome)
Waterfall
Whether
Particle reacting to light at night

Anything else i will gladly pay (although not as wiling if they are sold individually)

Firework/water jet/light editor (can be sync to ride, flat ride or time of day)
Boat Flume ride
Omnivore
Walkthrough ride (basically a path with a entrance and exit that can act like maze or walkthrough and let u select the mood)
Glass walls and Dome roofs
Water slides and pools
Animals and safarie (pls no animal escaping, that irrealistic and super annoying)
Broadwalk set
Propper dinner/ table, pick up/buffet counter
Propper shopping (like let use ppace aisle and they need to check out before leaving) (could bring new security hameplay too)
Arcades games
Reverse/switch and drop coasters
Beach, city and iland map
Parade and custome float

Are all thing i would spend d money for

I would really like to see a few things to make a proper game rather than sandbox builder in my eyes, so with that here is my full list (some bullet pointed as the detail involves many ideas in one);

  • Update the current challenge mode so that it uses the scenarios with the different starting parameters of what is easy, medium, hard etc
  • Offer sandbox with the starting UI to select what the sandbox player would like to have on.
  • Update the UI to break up the build pieces more effectively and re-organise what we have in game so it's more intuitive
  • Provide a proper career mode with the use of the starting globe as has been discussed where you pick a starting continent and work to create an empire of theme parks. Just really really want this to offer that enjoyment of running a company designing amazing parks etc.
  • Update UI to the large UI discussion we had on here (my new 21:9 screen is horrible with the PC UI but I wouldn't change back to a standard ratio ever) not to mention that I just feel the layout works better.
  • Add the picnic benches and similar items
  • Make sure all the colouring is working as intended on every item. Offer all items with a tick box for it to include snap points or free placement
  • Add the fence/hedge tool where you can both select the path edge or create a custom fence accordingly
  • Increase the foliage in the game and add the colouring
  • Make the collision on/off work so we can pull terrain back through things once they are placed and not just when placing down rides/coasters etc
  • Add weather and interaction with said weather based on biomes etc.
  • Add proper training to staff and customisation to them as noted otherwise
  • Add proper tech tree to research, unlock and improve your park rather than the current system

These are my key ones but there are 10x that probably if I took enough time to think about it. Not really expecting all this to be done. Just getting a true career as I have outlined in many other threads. That would get me playing it constantly if it was implemented right.

Then add all the other features on top of that.

We definitely need some sort Water Expansion Pack.

- Swimming Pools (including assorted slides, diving boards, pool lighting)
- Have a rectangle wider boat to substitute the narrow log flume ride boat
- Jet Boating (like in Sydney, and in Kinect Sports Rivals).

Sure it's Planet COASTER, but..... it's NOT JUST coasters, in the game! It's like creating your own FUN park. And swimming and jet boating are fun.

Scenario Editor with option to share the scenarios would be great.
That way the game is automatically extended by the community.

Possibly one final free update July/August time before we see a 1st expansion (water park related?) pack at the end of the year (1 year or so after initial release). As for the paid cosmetic DLC, who knows? [wacky]

I agree with this, plus I want Jurassic scenery because I like me some dino themed stuff! Oh, and some smaller transport ride options so I can have a mini transport ride just for my fairytale area! [haha]

To present a complete new Expansion for PC needs again also a lot of promotion. So I think, that a first Expansion Pack, Add-On, DLC or however they will call it, will be shown around middle of August 2017, when the Gamescom in Cologne starts. That's about 4 months, nearly the same time between the last two big (free) updates from December last year to April 2017. If they just can show us then only teasers (or spoilers), the next part of PC could be then available for the EGX in September. I think this both events will be regular events in Frontier's schedule.

Or they release the next official Pack in November like they did with the Final Release last year. Better start for christmas sellings.

I'm sure there is a summer update/dlc pack and it wouldn't be a bad guess to think it is water related. Hoping for swimming pools and slides etc. but a RCT3 soaked update kind of would definitely mean we are gonna have to pay for it.

(Just wondering why some people in this thread think we can expect a swimmingpool addition in the winter [mouth shut] [wink])

That silly DLC button in the object browser disappeared again in version 1.2.1 by the way. Here's hoping they realize that it is not smart to start talking paid DLC just yet. I believe there are quite some outstanding QoL issues at the moment, and some actually regressed since the Spring Update.

Also, assuming that cosmetic DLC means scenery, I don't think now is the right time either. I can't shake off the feeling that the asset team is not at the top of their game at the moment. They dropped the ball in production standards for version 1.2 and I know they can do better. They changed signs (the ones that were actually useful) yet again without warning, a ton of (mostly stucco) objects turning partly white because something didn't goo too well while making them flexicolor. And worse of all, many of the new assets are somewhat unpolished and not designed with creativity or flexibility in mind (seriously, what is is up with that row of thirteen flags??). Of course we can't look a gifted horse in the mouth, but they really need to step up their game to convince me to pay for scenery.

@serpantax- I totally agree, it does seem as though they decided to delay things with DLC. That was a good decision. About the setbacks, I don't understand why they keep switching items that were once in the game to something different, unless it was just a mistake I can see that it will be difficult keeping track of the thousands of items and possibly even millions as the game continues to grow. Its definitely a daunting task

Spooky theme with loads of animatronics, fences on paths you can alter in the pathing menu rather than having to place individual fence segments (so along the lines of removing the curb, change the type of fence on your selected path), more track rides, more flat rides, more tree and bush types, more flowers.

Basically any or all of this (gotta dream big) and I'm happy.

I for one welcome the potential summer update. I would like more animatronics and agree with the general feeling of the board that animal ones are needed. I hope we get boats and maybe more objects to create a Splash Mountain. I also would like to see individual DLC for topics I like, such as Ancient Egypt. That way people and pick and choose which objects they want.

Please add weather (including an influence of weather in the simulation, umbrellas, coats for guests etc), underwater effects and a fencing tool into the game. I feel these things really stand out in their absense
