Next mission: Skull and Crossbones and beyond(?).

Haven't been on a real long exploration yet, only a hand full of Kylies from home at most. I was on my way to Skull and Crossbone nebula when I returned to help out with the Community goal. But with a few million credits more under my belt and a dual AFMU Asp I'm heading out again. Planned route:

Around 500-1000Ly up of down from Civ space.
Thor's helmet
Seagull
Rosette
Maybe a slight detour to Jellyfish and Monkey head.
And then head out into Perseus arm to Skull and Crossbone.
After that we'll see what I'll do.

Ta is the exact trip I am completing. Now I'm stuck at 6000 ly from sol due to Internet connection problems, but I almost made it back.

my trip has been sol - THOR'S helmet - seagull - rosette - up the Perseus arm - skull and crossbones - Faust - sol.

in Galaxy mapping project by Erimus I wrote a lot of points of interest along your route
wregoe plane
plaia THEIA high river
dark waters
rosette open cluster
perseus fade
perseus hollow

it's a fun trip, but be warned: everything in the nebulae is already named (and not by me), so if you are looking for first discoveries you'll have many but not inside nebulae.

cmdr pharaoh is going north several thousands kilys, probably he will navigate all the Easter Perseus, he can give you further details on wht's North.

i hope my internet connection restores, there's a lot of tags I have to claim!!!!!

Not in it for First discoveries in the general Nebula areas, I suspected that most had been claimed. I just wanted to go in the opposite direction of most people (not all apparently ;) ).

Yes go galten!!!!!
that part of Perseus arm is amazing. And in fact it's one of the least used routes. You'll find many uncharted wonders.
and in the skull and crossbones nebula there are weird things. Several black holes, gigantic stars, water worlds orbiting metal rich planets, etc etc. i'll try to link from this cheap obile my Galaxy map entry about it

I'm also out there with Pharaoh, though quite a bit ahead as I imagine he is more thorough in his exploration than I am.

I started by going to Skull & Crossbones and now I'm just skirting the rim. There were a few undiscovered systems/planets in the nebula but only a few. They will likely have been discovered by someone else by the time even I return to sell the data. Outside of that, though, I have only found one system touched by another commander.
