Next trading goal?

Hey all,

So, i play this game for a few days and i like it a lot still. By the end of this week i should finally have my joystick (haven't played with one since Atari 2600 so that is going to get some used too) and try some dogfighting.

Till then, i trade and learn the game a bit. I got the hauler in 2 days ( i know, could have been much faster, but oh well) and i wonder:
What is the next ship i should target as a trader?
Goal is to trade for as many monies as possible so that if i going to fail at dogfighting at start (i will) i can still buy some replacement ships

Cobra next, then Lakon 6, then Lakon 9.

At that point you need to decide if you want to get the Anaconda or not.

As a trader, the next logical ship would be the Cobra as you get a cargo capacity of 36 and better range than the Hauler. The Viper is a nice ship but not so trade orientated as it only has a cargo capacity of 8. Beyond that the Lakon Type 6 and then the Type 9 would be your targets as they carry 100 and 440 respectively and both have much better range than other ships. The Anaconda is a good ship, but very expensive and doesn't carry as much as a Type 9 as it only carries 228.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
I actually went from the Hauler directly to the Lakon 6. Cobra is a good intermediary step, too, though.

Once you get to the 6 you'll be making crazy money each jump. Heck, just last night I made like 30 some thousand just dumping off some fish from Chango Dock to a refinery. :D

My ship smells now.

Type 6 does require some boring grind till 4 mils, but once you're in Type 9, then you're in business. 500k runs get you Anaconda in a breeze.
